Danny's Day - Lessons from a 40 Year Old

On Saturday we worked hard.

First we bought our new refrigerator, then we did some yardwork.

Last night, Danny said his back hurt - we thought it was from the yardwork.

This morning, he had some serious issues and went to the doctor and my big strapping husband was taken down by a kidney stone. Bless his heart!!!

He had to go to the doctor - it was terrible.

Here is what I have learned from Danny since he turned 40 years old on 7/29/08:
1) Go to the doctor for your yearly checkups - bloodwork and cholesterol is important
2) Lose weight - excess weight can cause health issues sooner or later (this one sucks b/c I like to eat)
3) Exercise (I'm not fond of this) My doctor added the fact that I need 30 minutes/+ aerobic daily to lose weight
4) Take a good multivitamin
5) Drink water - those add ins (ie - Crystal Light) are alright, but pure water is good for you
6) After years of self neglect, it's hard - but it can be done.

PS - He has lost 17 pounds in one month. I've lost 4. I'm 75% jealous - but I am so VERY proud of my husband!!!

Be safe children, be healthy!!!
