A Bailout

I'm thinking here -textiles have been going out of business for 25 years. It's been one of those slow painful deaths, but never once - have I seen a textile executive standing on Capitol Hill to ask for an economic bailout.

I'm getting tired of this. Bailout - BAILOUT.

How is it that businesses are totally neglecting the fact that they could take advantage of attrition and get rid of some jobs instead of cutting the workforce back at high percentages? How is it that companies are in terrible debt? did this just come about?

How is it the Tribune Company is not only bankrupt - but $12 BILLION dollars in debt?

I have an uncle. If you give my uncle $100 - he'll do good for 2 days, no whining or complaining. Things will be well, all is good - but then when the money runs out, he'll need more. He wouldn't prepare for hard times, he wouldn't use that money to pay on a bill. He'd probably run to eat a nice meal instead of buying a couple of weeks worth of groceries.

This sounds like those business that "NEED" money, yet they are paying high fees for upper management and wasting money, hand over fist. It just irritates me.

Americans - take the time to wake up and see what is going on.

Here are some things we can do to help our cause:
1) Get out of debt - each person needs to make an attempt to reduce their personal debt. Also stash a little cash back for hard times.
2) Start cutting corners now - use coupons, eat out less, etc.
3) If you don't like something, tell you Congress rep or Senator
