Happy Fathers Day & Observation on Gas Prices

I've got the best Dad in the world (I think).

We had dinner together last night at Sanibels in High Point. Mom & Danny went too!!! The food was very good, service was great - but most of all was being able to say hello and give hugs to Mom & Dad.

This morning I called at 7:45am to say, "Happy Father's Day".

This morning I also went to the grocery store, as I normally do - I filled up on gas in my happy little truck.

I pumped 9.212 gallons of gas at $3.929/gallon for a total cost of $36.19.
Based on the information on my handy trip-0-meter I had traveled 217.3 miles.
Every mile I drive costs approximately .167 cents. I drive 22 miles (one way) to work which costs $3.68 which is $7.36 daily. For some Americans, that's an hour's worth of work.

Lastly, I was sad to hear about the passing of Tim Russert on Friday.

He made politics fun. I'll miss him.

He was by all accounts a good son, a wonderful father, doting husband, excellent employee. In life, he did what he loved, and everyone will remember those qualities about him fondly.

When you live life to the fullest, and love wholly, and do the job you were born to do - what more is there to say?
