Is This Newswothy?

Today there was an article on Yahoo.com titled, "

Fido's not just yawning -- he's empathizing"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/dogs_yawning_dc;_ylt=Av2ELrYAst1vHNo6OLtwCdkDW7oF

It piqued my interest. I read this article and questioned - is this really journalism? Do I need "Atsushi Senju and colleagues at London's Birkbeck College said this behavior showed dogs were skilled at reading human social cues and "may relate to their capacity for empathy."" to tell me my dogs have empathy? While Cookie is not the sharpest tool in the shed, she is keenly aware of the fact that when I'm happy - we play and laugh. When I'm tired - we sleep. When I'm angry she sits down and puts her head down. When I cry - she will sit on my lap. Biscuit is much smarter is even more aware of my moods and needs.

But let me tell you what - I admire Atsushi Senju and colleagues at London's Birkbeck College because this study is a full-time job that pays well.

I on the other hand am writing articles on eHow.com to make a little extra money, to keep my dogs in Hills Science Diet (we use coupons!!)

Tonight while Biscuit, Cookie and I watch "Greatest American Dog" on CBS.com - we will know we are not the only ones who knew this secret before this study was done.

Please take the time to read and rate my new articles on eHow.com
