Hey folks!!!
I was watching the news and I have to say that I thought the skit Ron Howard did was funny, yet distressing.
I'm from North Carolina, we take some things very seriously - church, barbecue, ACC basketball, Cheerwine, our Mamas, the Andy Griffith Show.
This election is very important, it is great that the nation is charged and ready to vote.
BUT - I don't want to know who people are voting for? It's a personal choice. I respect that.
So, who does Ron Howard think he is telling me who he is voting for? Does he think he is still a force in my life? I no more care about his choice of who he is voting for, than I do a very conservative person in Hollywood - if there is one!!!
I learned a lot from his television roles, Opie Taylor - bless his heart, Richie Cunningham - never missed him on Tuesday nights. As a director, I've enjoyed his movies, especially A Beautiful Mind and Cinderella Man.
So this is for Ron Howard, all the people with stickers on your vehicles, signs in your yard, voting is great - it's an American right, be careful with your choice - and remember, we go into closed booths to vote - your vote is private. Please don't feel compelled to share your private choice with me.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!! AND DON'T FORGET TO VOTE.
